How to Create a Productive Study Space

Image
Hello everyone! If you find yourself struggling to focus, your study space can be a factor in this. I’m going to be sharing some ideas you can use in order to create a productivity haven, as having the right environment can make all the difference. I’m aware that depending on what your situation is, you won’t be able to follow all of these tips— I currently can’t even follow them all myself— but please feel free to take what you can or attempt to adapt the information given so it suits you as best as it can. Good Location Picking the right location for your studying is crucial for maintaining your focus and productivity. Try and nab yourself a dedicated space where you do nothing but studying, such as a desk in your home or a spot at the library. You can even pick a sit at the dining room table or on the couch if you really need to— really, the most important part of this is to avoid working in bed. This is because your brain develops association with actions and locations. If...

Hello everyone! I know that you don’t want to struggle during the upcoming school year- maybe it’s your first time going into a new level of education, or maybe you’re trying to improve from the experiences you had last year. Either way, I’m going to share some mistakes that you’re going to want to avoid making during the upcoming school year. So let’s get into it! Procrastination The first mistake is one that everyone struggles with, and that’s procrastination and bad time management. Everyone has been in a position where we keep putting off tasks we don’t want to do until the deadline looms over us and we do the work in a panic. Even if you believe yourself to be someone who works better under that pressure, procrastination is still not ideal as nearing the deadline can be very stressful and it’s not a good idea to put your body under that stress. so please, manage your schedule well to make sure you’re getting all your work done without worrying about falling behind. Not S...

The Ultimate Guide on Being an Academic Weapon this School Year

Image
I know that people are beginning to start going back to school or getting ready to go back right now, so I thought now would be a good time to share some tips on how to become an academic weapon for the upcoming school year! Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades or manage your workload, you’ll be able to excel. Set Goals First, you need to set clear academic goals for yourself. Ask yourself this question: What does success mean you do for this school year? Is success about getting a better grade in a certain class or being more prepared for a test? What about never falling behind on homework and project deadlines, or trying to engage more with the class material and discussions to develop a proper understanding? You want to have a goal that gives you something to work towards and be able to measure if you made the progress you wanted to make in order to become an academic weapon. Study Plan Next, depending on what your goal is, you’re going to have to make some sort of ...

The Best Realistic Night Routine for School Success

Image
In order to start your morning off well, you need to end the previous night well. These tips will help you create a restful wind-down routine to get you prepared for bed. Set an Alarm Like I mentioned in my morning routine blog post— check it out if you haven’t already — you should set an alarm for what time you go to bed. This is to keep yourself conscious of the time so you don’t look up from your screen to find 5 hours have passed and now it’s 2am and you still have to go to school the next day. Prepare for the Next Day Once that alarm goes off, signaling it’s time to get ready for bed, stop whatever it was you were doing and begin preparing for the next day. Write down your to-do list, set out clothes so you don’t spend time in the morning debating what to wear, and pack your bag for the next morning so you can simply grab and go. Mindfulness You should also journal, pray, meditate, or something else during your night routine— this is especially great when you’re anxio...

The Best Realistic Morning Routine for School Success

Image
What are your mornings like when you have school? Do you wake up peacefully and achieve everything you want to do before you leave, or is a mad scramble to pull yourself together to avoid nearly missing your ride? I bet you want to be the first student. These tips will help you become them. Waking Up The first thing to keep in mind is waking up on time. And in order to do this, you need to go to bed on time. Depending on your age, it’s expected that you sleep between 7 to 10 hours every night. Sleeping too little or too much can cause mental and/or physical health issues that start your day badly. Therefore, if you know you need to wake up at a certain time, subtract the amount of hours you need to sleep from that time to know when you should be sleeping. Then set an alarm 30 minutes to an hour before then to start winding down with your night routine. For your wake up time, it’s best to wake up with enough time to accomplish everything you want to do with some time left ove...

6 Must-Know Tips to Get Organized This School Year

Image
Hello everyone! Judging by the fact you’re reading this post, it’s likely that you might relate to the idea of having old papers crammed into your bag and not being able to find the one assignment you needed or completely forgetting about a test until the night before and having to pull an all-nighter to study for it. You probably wish you were more organized in your school life. Here’s how you can be. A Planner First things first, you need a planner. Whenever you find out about a homework assignment, project, or test coming up, you need to write it down and consistently check the planner so you don’t forget about it until it’s too late. This planner can be physical or digital— if digital, I know people really like using a combination of Google Calendar and Notion. With this, you can break down big assignments or study time into smaller chunks you can do day-by-day instead of cramming in everything all at once. You can also use organizational apps like Notion, Trello, Evernote...
